Asbestos is the single biggest killer in the workplace. It was extensively used as a building material in the UK from the 1950s through to the mid-1980s. It was used for a variety of purposes such as fireproofing and insulation. Any building built before 2000 could contain asbestos. Employers have a legal duty to ensure that any of their staff likely to disturb asbestos during the course of their are adequatley trained to recognise the risks and take steps to avoid them.
Asbestos Awareness Training (1/2 day)

MacBrac is a UKATA registered trainer. The course is designed to raise operatives’ and managers’ awareness of the dangers posed by asbestos and how to avoid them. Successful delegates are issued with a certificate bearing the UKATA logo. Courses are run in Telford throughout the year to suit demand, including special rates for employers wishing to train six or more employees at a time. Contact us for details.
